Cassidy “Casey” Charles Fournier was born in Sacramento, CA on February 22, 1973 to Dorothy Ann (D’Ann) and Richard George Fournier. After a valiant battle with Cancer, Casey died peacefully and surrounded by family on June 22, 2019 at his Indianapolis, IN home. Casey was raised in California and moved to Indianapolis in his early 20’s. He was self-employed and proudly expressed his creativity through his work as a tile setter. Casey lived his life to the fullest and had a deep passion for adventure, fun and music. Casey didn’t miss an opportunity to jump out of a perfectly good airplane or off of a cliff or bridge; he traveled across the United States and frequently to the Caribbean; he loved kayaking, camping and hiking; and attended musical festivals and concerts from Bonnaroo to Hilary Duff. He was charismatic and loved life. The always-present expressions of his inner-child were enviable, as was witnessing the unending joy he found in so many things. Casey knew no stranger, had a huge heart and selflessly aided others by stepping in with a helping hand on numerous occasions. He believed in random acts of kindness — gladly sifting through the back of his truck for just the right tool to break into a neighbor’s locked vehicle, bringing home a pot-bellied pig found on the side of the road in the middle of the city and even assisting a friend by engineering a dinosaur that poops rainbows because their child requested just that. His instantaneous smile and contagious laughter could light up anyone’s day, but was nothing compared to the depth of love he had for close friends and family. Casey will be deeply missed by so many who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. He is survived by his wife, Meegan (Stutler) Fournier; daughter, Jolie Fournier; stepson, Caleb Stutler (Contessa); and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 19 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6050 N Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46208. The service will be immediately followed by a celebration of life located nearby (address to be provided at service). Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

This remembrance is so beautifully written and truly does capture the Casey I knew as a neighbor. He always had a “hello” for me – and sometimes a funny comment on the weather or what-not – when I walked past him each morning with the boys. I’ll never forget his kindness in helping me stand up to some home remodelers over a tile job gone sideways – just because I asked him if he could, not because there was anything in it for him. Although, he did get a good belly laugh out of the situation. He will be missed by so many, of that I am certain. Praying for you and all your family and close friends, Meegan, in your time of grief.

His willingness to take on reconstructing a huge, tall and heavy concrete statue in my yard that kids broke will always be a reminder of his kindness. As well as just a nice guy. My condolences Meegan, to you and your family.

A great tribute to a great soul. Casey lived in the moment and never left any joy unfulfilled. Each day I knew him, nothing was going to stop him from doing what he loved. He was an incredible human being with a whole lot of love to give. Sorry for your loss and my prayers will be with you always.

I went go to HighSchool with Casey. He was a part of my childhood. My memories of him was as a young boy in his early to mid-teens. Casey was a rocker with long curly hair acid washed Levi’s skinny jeans and high top Reebok sneakers. He always wore a heavy metal band t-shirt with the likes of iron maiden Metallica Megadeth or suicidal tendencies. Casey wore braces for years that’s how he got those perfectly straight upper teeth. I didn’t know the Casey who moved away and made a new life with all of you guys. I remember the tall skinny kid that went to Del Campo high School and lived in the small town of Fair oaks in California. He loved the river and rope swings and jumping off the red bridge at the American River in old Town Fair oaks. It warms my heart to hear all the kind words said about Casey. It makes me happy to hear how successful he became. Life isn’t measured by what you leave behind tangibly. It’s measured by the love that’s shared when your here and the love that’s left behind to celebrate your departure to heaven. Sounds to me like Casey built an amazing life for himself with people who are going to have a huge celebration for him! Praying 🙏 for you Casey! See you soon my friend! In Jesus name 🙏🙌😇

Casey was such a sweet person. We always enjoyed our time around you both. So glad we had the opportunity to experience Jamaica together. That was a trip for the ages! We always thought you two would make it here to visit. Sorry that did not happen. Whenever there is a full moon, I will think of you and send light your way. Love you!

Donna, sorry to hear the news about your son in law. I didn’t know him but he sounds like a great guy. Our paths may have even crossed at some point. It sounds like even though he died young, he crammed a full life into his short years. I hope you find Gods peace in your sorrow

Casey was the best guy ever! He laid all of our tile in both of my homes. My family and I enjoyed every minute when he was around. He made us laugh and he was the best at his art with tile. It always had to be perfect. We will miss him and we send our condolences to his family and friends.

I will always remember Casey with a smile. He went to Del Campo High with my son Andrew. We loved to raft down the American River on my ship of fools raft. I am sad that he left this world so young. My heart goes out to his family 💜💜💜
